Centrally located in the Finger Lakes Park Region, Sampson State Park has just over 5.5 miles of lakefront and slopes gently above the eastern shore of Seneca Lake with an abundant of recreational opportunities. Formed over 12,000 years ago, Seneca Lake is the largest and deepest of the Finger Lakes, with charted depths over 630 feet featuring a marina with multiple boat ramps for launching.

The parks boasts 245 electric campsites located in five wooded camping loops each with its own shower/restroom facility. Overlooking Seneca Lake are one and two bedroom cottages with a kitchenette, bathroom, covered outdoor deck, furnishings and lightning. There are also 64 non-electric campsites located in an open field with a great view of the lake.
